A Special Maternity shoot with Gemma

A little while ago, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful maternity session right here on our property just outside of Comet. We’re located between Emerald and Blackwater, and there are some gorgeous little pockets around the place that I love using for shoots.

The garden is just starting to come into its own, and this was the first time I used it for some portrait work. The bougainvillea’s added such a beautiful pop of colour.

This session was extra special because it was Gemma’s very first time having professional photos taken. She hadn’t planned to book anything for herself, but a very good friend encouraged her to do it—and I’m so glad he did!

I’ve had a beautiful response to Gemma’s photos and received some truly lovely messages. This is exactly why I do what I do. It’s not just about the pretty photos—it’s about creating an experience that makes people feel seen, valued, and proud of who they are in that moment.
