Family first. This is one of the reasons I’m passionate about photographing weddings. I love viewing and capturing the connections between the generations.
Boyde and Chloe were married outside of Comet on the family property of “Amaroo”. Two days before the ceremony I was contacted by a fellow photographer who was unwell and needed someone to fill in for her. Comet is my hometown and I was more than happy to help out. As a photographer, there is always a fear that something unexpected will prevent you from delivering your services, and I can only imagine the stress for the bride in this situation. As things turned out I was very privileged to be part of their day.
For a large wedding such as this in a remote area, it takes a lot of work from family and friends to make something truly special for the couple. The old saying “many hands make light work” certainly applies in this situation. When I arrived in the morning there were many helping out, from preparing food, setting up, and addressing all the last-minute needs of a wedding. All of this was to make sure Boyde and Chloe had a day they would cherish.
I am in love with all of Chloe’s choices, her flowers, dress, the boy’s suits, and the bridesmaid’s dresses…my favorite! Everyone looked just stunning. With an early ceremony, followed by afternoon tea, we had ample time to go out in the golden hour and take some beautiful images before the reception. Everything was very relaxed and the main aim was to just enjoy time spent with family.
Congratulations Boyde and Chloe! Such an exiting time in your lives, enjoy every moment!!
